The "Noble Partner" military exercises between Georgian forces and NATO allies commenced on Aug. 1 outside Georgia's capital,Tbilisi, and will run for two weeks. The exercises, which are held every four years, come just a few days before the 10th anniversary of the NATO aspirant country's brief war with Russia in August 2008. Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili made note of this fact, saying that 20 percent of his country is illegally occupied by Russia.
