There is no easy way out for Cyprus and the island-country will become an increasing source of competition between the EU and Russia, comments Dr. Marat Terterov, Director of the European Geopolitical Forum (EGF), in a recent interview with EURONEWS. Both Russia and the EU have “interests” on the island, which now finds itself between “a rock and a hard place” when it comes to its political relationship with Brussels and Moscow respectively.
