International Conference on "EU and the Emerging Powers"
The EGF is proud to announce that it has been selected by an academic International Advisory Board to present a research paper on "Old Powers Re-emerging in the Wider Black Sea: Security and Region-Building Strategies in Europe’s Eastern Neighborhood” at the International Conference on "EU and the Emerging Powers" that will take place, on 29 and 30 April 2013, at the European Parliament from Brussels. This conference, that is going to be organized by a Consortium of Belgian Universities, will aim at analyzing how the recent rise of emerging powers has affected the EU's external policies and its global governance strategy across four key dimensions: economics; security; energy and the environment; rule of law, democracy, and human rights. EGF would also like to mention that on November 29-30, our Armenian information partner, the Political Science Association of Armenia held its annual two-day international Forum "Regional Security Dynamics in the South Caucasus" in Yerevan. The event was co-organised with the Institute for National Strategic Studies of the Republic of Armenia and involved the participation of notable international experts on the South Caucasus region.
