Europe leaders tell Putin Syria truce must hold to spur peace talks

European leaders told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday that a fragile truce in Syria must be used to try to secure a lasting peace without President Bashar al-Assad, the spokeswoman for British Prime Minister David Cameron said.

EU courts Turkey, outlines plan to save open borders

U.N. delays vote on tough new North Korea sanctions at Russia's request

The United Nations Security Council delayed until Wednesday a vote on a U.S.-Chinese drafted resolution that would dramatically expand U.N. sanctions on North Korea after Russia said it needed more time to review the text, diplomats said.
