Russia rebuffs Clinton on Syria

Russia on Saturday soundly rejected U.S. calls for increased pressure on Syrian President Bashar Assad to relinquish power. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton tried to prod Moscow into supporting U.N. action to end the crisis in Syria and she expressed hope that Congress would repeal Cold War-era trade restrictions on Russia.

Iran, Turkey agree to transfer Turkmen gas to Europe

Iran and Turkey have agreed to transfer natural gas from Turkmenistan to Europe, the National Iranian Gas Company's managing director Javad Owji stated.

Azerbaijan backs Iran’s proposals to simplify visa regime among Silk Road countries

Today in Baku during a press conference on the results of international conference "Taste of Silk Road: gastronomy, culture & tourism" UNWTO Secretary General Taleb Rifai said that the suggestion of Iranian Vice President Hassan Mousavi to facilitate the visa regime between the Silk Road countries is an important issue, which would help lift the existing restrictions and eliminate bureaucracy.

Russia warns Israel, U.S. an attack on Iran would be ‘disastrous’

Russia has starkly warned Israel and the United States against attacking Iran, saying Moscow sees no evidence that Tehran’s nuclear program is aimed at developing weapons, the Interfax news agency reported on Thursday.
