Concerns Over Ukraine's Smuggle Tunnels to EU

Ukrainian authorities have launched an investigation into a tunnel network running from its border into neighboring Slovakia, a member of the European Union.   There has been mounting international concern that organized crime groups from the former Soviet Union smuggle people, weapons, drugs, cigarettes and other goods into the European Union.

Saudi Arabia passes Russia as top oil producer

Oil production in Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest crude exporter, rose to 10.103 million barrels a day in June, from 9.807 million barrels a day in May, overtaking Russia as the world’s largest producer, official data showed.

Turkey is in talks to build second nuclear power plant

Turkey is negotiating with Japan, Canada, China and South Korea to build a second nuclear power plant, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said, the newspaper Sabah reported.
