War in Iran may turn Caspian Sea region into arena of military operations

If the U.S. and Israel begin massive air attacks on Iran, Tehran can clearly respond to these actions. Border countries can be the target of some missiles, which it will use in the conflict. That is why, it is necessary to place modern radar systems in the countries bordering with Armenia and Iran, as well as along the coast of the Caspian Sea.

Russia to join military drills with Canada

Moscow, Aug 25 (IANS) A group from the Russian armed forces will take part in the military drills with the US and Canada to be held next Monday in North America, a military official said Saturday. The Watchful Eagle-2012 anti-terrorism exercise, slated for Aug 27-29, will take place in the US and Canada.

China could carry out a cyber attack against India with the help of computer hardware and spare parts, according to a report by intelligence agencies. The agencies further believe that China would become an expert in such stealth attacks by 2017

Objections by India to the construction of the US$12 billion Diamer-Bhasha dam in Gilgit-Baltistan, a disputed area in north Pakistan, have blocked funding for the project from international donors.

Iran proposes military alliance of Muslim countries

It is necessary to create a military alliance of Muslim countries. It can be created in order to repel an attack on the Muslim countries, as well as to protect the Palestinian people, the Mehr news agency quoted Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi as saying at today's meeting at the Ministry of Defense.
