Turkmenistan accelerates East-West gas pipeline construction

At present, the operations are being rapidly conducted to construct the East-West gas pipeline. It is designed to unite all gas fields in the country, as well as to prepare for the industrial development of new prospective areas, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said. The president's quotation was published in all media of the country.

Turkey negotiating with three countries to build nuclear power plants

Turkey is negotiating with three countries on three different models to build nuclear power plants, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Taner Yildiz, Anatolia agency reports on Tuesday.

EU: Iran agrees to nuclear talks

"We have agreed with Iran to launch a new round of talks in Istanbul on 14 April," said Michael Mann, spokesman for EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton. "We are very pleased that these talks, which will address the international community´s concerns on the Iranian nuclear programme, are going ahead after more than one year since we last met," Mann said in a statement.

Obama offers to accept Iran's civilian nuclear programme

President Barack Obama has told Iran the United States would accept Tehran having a civilian nuclear programme if the Islamic state can prove it is not seeking atomic weapons, the Washington Post said Friday. Obama sent such a message to Tehran via Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who delivered it to Iran's Supreme leader Ali Khamenei last week, said the newspaper's foreign affairs columnist David Ignatius.
