Russia, Kazakhstan, U.S. Hail Nuclear Test Clean-Up

The presidents of the United States, Russia, and Kazakhstan have hailed the success of a project to clean up a huge Soviet-era nuclear test site in Semey, formerly known as Semipalatinsk, in Kazakhstan.

Russian FM to pay a trip to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan

Today in Moscow Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ spokesman Alexander Lukashevich has said that on 2-3 April Lavrov will meet in Yerevan with the President and the Foreign Minister of Armenia, on 3-4 April in Baku will hold talks with the President and the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan. Already on 4-5 April the Russian FM is expected to visit Kyrgyzstan and then Kazakhstan.

U.S. Secretary of State meets with Turkmen delegation for political consultations

A Turkmen delegation has recently visited Washington, which on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov took part in political consultations between Turkmenistan and the United States, during which a mechanism for enhancing bilateral cooperation was worked out, the Turkmen government said on Saturday.
