Ukraine and rebels discuss broadening weapons withdrawal: aide

Ukraine, Russia and Moscow-backed separatists are discussing possibly extending a pull-back of weapons in east Ukraine to include tanks and smaller weapons systems, a Kiev official said on Thursday.

Poland to charge two Russian officials over Kaczynski plane crash

Sweden intercepts Russian planes over Baltic amid regional tensions

EU likely to keep Russia sanctions after Merkel weighs in

European Union leaders look likely to keep economic sanctions on Russia in place until a Ukraine ceasefire deal is fully working, after German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Thursday it would be wrong to ease pressure on Moscow prematurely.

Ukraine stuck on an IMF dripfeed a year after Crimea seizure
