Russia, Japan hold 'in-depth' talks on islands dispute

France's Ayrault presses for U.N. resolution on Syrian use of chemical weapons

Philippines says sea dispute not led to shift in ties with China or U.S.

The Philippines' territorial dispute with China over the South China Sea has not caused Manila to rebalance diplomatic ties with either its ally, the United States, or neighboring China, Foreign Minister Perfecto Yasay said on Wednesday.

Russia: future use of Iranian air base depends on circumstances in Syria

The Russian military said on Monday that its aircraft operating from an Iranian air base to conduct strikes in Syria had now completed their tasks, but it left open the possibility of using the Hamadan base again if circumstances warranted it.
