China, India continue to fuel demand for affordable coal supply

Hong Kong-listed Indonesian coal mining company Agritrade Resources said demand for cheap energy alternatives from developing economies is not expected to wane. It supplies "sub-bituminous coal" - or lower grade thermal coal - which is seen an affordable source of energy for developing nations.

China Says U.S. Clean Energy Projects Violate WTO Rules

The ministry's announcement is the latest in a string of tit-for-tat moves in the clean energy sector which have pit China against its two-largest trade partners, the U.S. and European Union. China's ruling comes as clean energy policy is becoming an issue in the U.S. presidential elections and at a time when demand for wind and solar-power equipment from Europe is falling.

China Sunergy Expands Market Share in Australia with a 7.8MW Sale to Urban Group Energy

China Sunergy Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: CSUN) ("China Sunergy" or the "Company"), a specialized solar cell and module manufacturer, announced today that it had signed a 7.8MW solar module sales contract with Urban Group Energy, the energy arm of Urban Group Australia, one of the top conglomerate companies in Australia. Delivery of the solar modules was scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2012.
