NATO slams Russian over Ukraine as summit starts

NATO's top official bluntly accused Moscow on Thursday of attacking Ukraine as allied leaders began a summit set to support Kiev and buttress defenses against a Russia they now see as an adversary for the first time since the Cold War.

Ukraine and rebels to seek peace plan, ceasefire on Friday

Australia to sign civil nuclear deal with India; imposes Russia ban

Australia Prime Minister Tony Abbott said on Wednesday he hoped to sign a deal this week to sell uranium to India for peaceful power generation, but halted uranium exports to Russia over Moscow's role in Ukraine.

Confusion as Ukraine and Russia announce progress towards peace
