Iran and powers close in on 2-3 page nuclear deal, success uncertain

The foreign ministers of France and Germany joined the top U.S. and Iranian diplomats on Saturday to help break an impasse in nuclear negotiations as major powers and Iran closed in on a 2- or 3-page accord that could form the basis of a long-term deal.

More countries say to join China-backed AIIB investment bank

North Korea's neighbors push to resume six-party talks

Russia and China discussed resuming six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear program this week, while a South Korean diplomat said five of the participants had agreed on conditions to present to Pyongyang for restarting the negotiations.

New Afghan president warns of 'terrible threat' from Islamic State

Afghanistan's new president, Ashraf Ghani, warned U.S. lawmakers on Wednesday of the "terrible threat" the Islamic State poses in central and western Asia, and said the militant group is already sending fighters to his country.

EU imposes anti-dumping duties on stainless steel from China and Taiwan

The European Union will impose anti-dumping duties from Thursday on imports of cold-rolled flat stainless steel from China and Taiwan, according to a notice on Wednesday in the EU's Official Journal.
