Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss creation of JV

Ronis urges Uzbekistan to use Latvian ports for transit of Uzbek cargo

During a visit to Tashkent earlier this week, Transport Minister Aivis Ronis urged Uzbek authorities to make more use of Latvian ports and logistics infrastructure services, including investments into these areas, and to expand the cooperation with Latvia by securing freight flows to and from Afghanistan, the Transport Ministry informed Nozare.lv.

Iranian, Tajik and Afghan presidents to meet in Dushanbe

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai on the eve of Nowruz holiday will pay a visit to Tajikistan. The sides will discuss economic development of Afghanistan at a meeting of presidents of three countries to be held in Dushanbe, Mehr quoted Tajik Ambassador in Tehran Dovletali Khatamov as telling reporters on Wednesday.

Swedbank expects inflation to grow in Estonia

Consumer prices increased by 0.7% in January in Estonia compared to the previous month. Swedish bank Swedbank experts forecast that the inflation would continue growth in coming months, albeit, at a slower pace. The bank predicts that the price index would decrease in Lithuania in 2012, Swedbank said in a statement.
