North Korea pushing ahead with new nuclear reactor, IAEA says

Iran plans to cut dependency on Turkmen gas imports

Iran has developed a plan to launch a new pipeline, aiming to boost gas supply to the Caspian Sea provinces and cut dependency on gas imports from Turkmenistan, the Mehr News Agency quoted National Iranian Gas Company’s Managing Director Javad Owji as saying.

Iran renews support for Pakistan pipeline

Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad has vowed to complete the Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project by 2014 despite United States opposition. Ahmadinejad, who attended the summit of the Developing-8 (D-8) countries held in Islamabad last week, told a press conference in Islamabad that Iran was extending financial assistance to Pakistan to help towards completion of the project.

BP wants Russia's Nord Stream gas pipeline to reach UK

BP and Gazprom are reportedly in “early” talks about extending the Nord Stream pipeline which could pump Russian gas directly to the UK by 2016. BP’s Director for Russia David Peattie told the Daily Mail the deal could be signed in the middle of next year.

Turkey May Still Build N-Plant on Bulgarian Border
