Terry Gou, Taiwan's wealthiest man and founder of the electronics company Foxconn, confirmed on April 16 that he's considering making a bid to become the Kuomintang (KMT) nominee for the 2020 presidential election. The day prior, Gou announced that he was ending his 45-year tenure as CEO of Foxconn, which currently assembles the majority of Apple's iPhones in China.
