Dr Alexey Gromov, Deputy General Director of the Institute for Energy Strategy (IES), Head of World Energy Consulting Center (WECC).
His primary responsibility is state energy regulating in Russia, strategic planning, foresight and forecast of energy development in Russia and in the world. Alexey’s previous role as Head of Gas Department in the Institute for the Problems of Natural Monopolies contributes to his in depth knowledge of the key problems in Russian Gas Sector. He was take part of the expert team for developing Energy Strategy of Russia up to period 2030. He was also one of the authors of the Russian “White Book” (Global Energy and Sustainable Development) which covers the Russian vision to the global energy future. Member of some expert councils under the Ministry of Energy, The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Russian Gas Society. The author of the more than 30 publications in the different international and Russian leading economic reviews.
