I graduated from the Russian State University for the Humanities in 1998. I have a Ph.D. in Economics and in History (2001). I have 10 years’ practical operational experience, having worked in Gazprom VNIIGAZ and Gazprom Export, and in consultancy and analytical work for the gas industry.  

 I have published over 50 articles in the leading industry publications in Russia, dedicated to the key issues in the global oil and gas sector. I am also the author of 2 individual monographs – “Black gold of the Vikings country. Oil industry in Norway: 1960-2000” and “The state and the oil and gas sector. Norway’s experience and Russia”. Since 2007 I took part as a main participant in 14 large client projects, concerning the Russian and European gas industries and markets and 14 published analytical reports.    

As an expert, I appear on Russian business TV and participate in various conferences and round discussions on the key issues in the development of global and the Russian gas industries.

My key current expert interest is analyze of global and Russian trends in the development of oil and gas industries and strategic positions of Russian and foreign companies on the changing energy markets.
