Dr./ Ambassador Ambassador Dr. Urban Rusnák, (1967), Slovak diplomat and analyst.
Since 1992 he served in various positions in Czecho-Slovak, later Slovak foreign service. In 1994-1998 period he worked as Deputy Head of Mission at the Slovak Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. During the years 1999-2000 he was the Director of the Slovak Institute for International Studies. In 2000-2003 period he served as a first Executive Director of the International Visegrad Fund in Bratislava. During the years 2003-2005 Dr. U.Rusnak worked as a Deputy Head of Department of Analyses and Policy Planning at the MFA of the Slovak Republic. In 2005-9 period Dr. U.Rusnák was appointed as an Extraordinary a Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine, Kyiv. Since May 2009 he is responsible for External Energy Security Project at the MFA of the Slovak Republic. Mr. U.Rusnák finished his study at the Moscow Oil and Gas University, Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Geochemistry in 1990. He completed he PhD studies at Ankara University, on Public Administration and Foreign Relations in 1998. In 2009 he was honored by Doctor Honoris Causa at Kyiv Slavonic University.
